we all wanna be BIG ROCKSTARS

“I’m through with standing in line to the clubs I’ll never get in
It’s like the bottom of the ninth and I’m never gonna win
This life hasn’t turned out quite the way I want it to be”

seemingly, PMC has nothing to do with long rows at disco night clubs. But these lines magnificently outline the general trend in college corridors and passage-ways.
It might sound like a satirical commentary on the lifestyle (or perceived lifestyle) of a PMCian, or as a glorification of material success at the expense of ‘artistic’ integrity.
It might also echo a similar sentiment expressed by a ‘broken heart’ after rejection or classical ‘act of refusing’ in classrooms and halls.

this article directly relates a common PMCian with an old-hat urge to be famous or ‘cool’ ( it’s what you call it ).
everyone of us is definitely not blind to see a few heavily spruced up specie or ‘HUMAN BONBONS’ ( as Obscruntantist would say 😀 ) wandering about college corridors, beautifying our college and PMC’s student life.
it’s not what i’m saying, it’s what THEY see and forge a very firm negative image of PMC !

And then it’s not all !! i’d like to add a bunch of “mango-students” considering it a very good method to seek fame ! oh and that goes something like ,
“I’m gonna trade this life for fortune and fame.
I’d even cut my hair and change my name”
I’m gonna dress my a** with the latest fashion
Get a front door key to the “Playboy mansion”

well, vaguely disclosing their secrets, they do it for a cause and that is to become a BIG GUN or a ROCKSTAR ( not kidding, it’s a common term found at the end of some famous nicknames in college 😉 )
“we all just wanna be big rockstars
Livin’ in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
we’ll all stay skinny ’cause we just wont eat”

mere bhaiyo aur behno, donot indulge yourself in meaningless battle of physical forms and fashion or atleast maintain a standard.
You are a medical student, a future doctor and a perceptive element of society. simply be yourself, dress up like normal humankind, wear anything other than “sheeda doodh wala” stuff 🙂
live a life and get your ways decently parted after securing degree of MBBS or BDS 🙂

thank you very much 🙂

  1. “Fragile mind” is the identification point of our ppl……they are so easily persuaded……
    in Urdu……we call it “Bhair-Chaal”…..

    • what you’re talking about ? pity that they don’t even have a MIND ! their eyes on MTV have a direct control of their limbs !

    • what more than a doctor ? is it a check off ? ahead of which we have a choice to be something more than it ? i don’t even consider it a profession 😀 its just an avocation 😛
